1. General Policy
Ashton Septic Services, Inc. provides professional septic services to property owners in Fort Pierce and surrounding areas of St. Lucie County, Florida. Because we provide field services rather than physical products, our refund and cancellation practices are specific to service appointments, estimates, and service-related payments.
We aim to communicate clearly with customers about scheduling, service scope, and expectations. If you have questions about a specific appointment or payment, contact us promptly so we can address your concern.
This policy is intended to describe our general practices. The specific terms applicable to any particular service engagement may be communicated separately at the time of service.
2. Service Appointments
Service appointments are scheduled based on availability and the nature of the requested service. Appointments are confirmed by Ashton Septic Services after you contact us and we discuss your needs. Submitting a service request form on this website initiates contact but does not itself confirm a scheduled appointment.
We make reasonable efforts to arrive at scheduled appointments within the agreed time frame. Service scheduling is subject to the conditions described in our Terms and Conditions, including weather, access, and other factors that may affect scheduling.
3. Appointment Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule a service appointment, please contact Ashton Septic Services as soon as reasonably possible. Providing advance notice when you need to cancel allows us to adjust our schedule and, where possible, accommodate other customers who may need service.
We understand that circumstances can change and that cancellations are sometimes unavoidable. We ask that customers communicate with us promptly when a cancellation or reschedule is needed. Contact us at (772) 240-0604 or michael@ashtonsepticservices.com.
We do not impose a mandatory cancellation fee as a standard practice. However, if specific arrangements are communicated to you at the time of scheduling regarding cancellation or rescheduling, those terms will govern.
4. Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule a service appointment, contact us as soon as possible. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests based on our availability. Rescheduling is subject to available appointment times and may not always be possible on short notice.
We may also need to reschedule appointments due to weather, equipment issues, emergency calls, or other circumstances. We will contact you as promptly as possible if we need to reschedule a confirmed appointment.
5. Estimates and Quotes
Estimates provided by Ashton Septic Services are based on the information available at the time the estimate is prepared, including the information you provide about your property and system. Estimates may change if actual site conditions, the scope of work discovered, or other factors differ materially from the information on which the estimate was based.
We will communicate with customers about significant changes to estimated scope or cost before proceeding with additional work where reasonably practicable. An estimate is not a binding quote unless expressly stated in writing.
If you choose not to proceed with service after receiving an estimate, please let us know. Estimates are provided to help you make an informed decision about your septic service needs.
6. Deposits
Ashton Septic Services does not require a deposit for routine service appointments as a standard practice. For certain projects — such as larger installations or specialized work — a deposit or prepayment may be requested. If a deposit or prepayment is required for a particular project, the applicable terms, including any conditions under which the deposit may or may not be refundable, will be communicated to you before payment is requested.
Do not assume that a deposit is required unless we specifically communicate that to you in connection with your project.
7. Completed Services
Once a service has been performed, the appropriateness of any refund depends on the nature of the complaint, the scope of work actually performed, the circumstances of the service, and applicable law. We stand behind our work and want customers to be satisfied with the service they receive.
If you have a concern about a service that was performed, please contact us promptly so we can review the situation. We are committed to addressing legitimate service concerns in a fair and reasonable manner.
Refunds for completed services are not automatic and depend on the specific circumstances. We will review concerns on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable law and the terms communicated at the time of service.
8. Customer-Caused Issues
Certain situations that affect service may result from customer actions or circumstances within the customer's control. These may include:
- Providing incorrect property information that affects the service
- Failure to provide reasonable access to the property at the scheduled time
- Unsafe or inaccessible conditions at the property that prevent service
- Customer-requested delays or changes to the scope of work after service has begun
- Failure to disclose known information about the septic system that materially affects the service
- Hidden conditions that the customer was aware of but did not disclose
In situations where customer-caused issues affect our ability to complete service or result in additional time or costs, we will discuss the situation with the customer before proceeding where possible. Charges for work already performed or costs already incurred may apply.
9. Duplicate Payments
If you believe you have made a duplicate payment for a service, contact Ashton Septic Services promptly at (772) 240-0604 or michael@ashtonsepticservices.com. We will review the payment records and, if a duplicate payment is confirmed, work to resolve the situation in accordance with applicable law and our payment processing procedures.
10. Overpayments
If an overpayment is made for a service, contact us promptly. We will review the payment and, if an overpayment is confirmed, work to address it in accordance with applicable law. The method of resolving an overpayment may depend on the payment method used and the circumstances.
11. Service Disputes
If you have a dispute regarding a service provided by Ashton Septic Services, we encourage you to contact us promptly to discuss your concern. Many issues can be resolved through direct communication. We want to understand your concern and work toward a fair resolution.
Contact us as soon as possible after the service if you have a concern. Delays in reporting a service concern may affect our ability to evaluate and address the issue.

13. Refund Processing
If a refund is approved, we will make reasonable efforts to process the refund through the original payment method where possible and practicable. The time required to process a refund may depend on the payment method and applicable processing procedures.
We will communicate with you about the status of an approved refund and the expected timeline for processing.
14. Third-Party Charges
Third-party payment processing fees or other charges imposed by payment processors or financial institutions may not be within our control to refund. Such charges may be governed by the terms of the applicable payment processor or financial institution. We will make reasonable efforts to address third-party charge issues where we are able to do so.
15. Non-Refundable Circumstances
Certain costs may not be refundable where services have already been performed, materials have been used, or expenses have been incurred in connection with your service, subject to applicable law and any written agreement. This includes situations where service was performed as agreed but the customer is dissatisfied with the outcome for reasons unrelated to the quality of the work performed.
We do not impose blanket non-refundable rules. Each situation will be reviewed based on its specific circumstances, the nature of the service, and applicable law.
16. Manufacturer or Third-Party Products
If your service involves parts, components, or materials supplied by third-party manufacturers, those products may be subject to the manufacturer's own warranty or return policies. We will provide available information about manufacturer warranties for components used in your service. Third-party product warranties are separate from our service-related policies.
17. Policy Changes
We reserve the right to update this Refund and Cancellation Policy from time to time. Updated policies will be posted on this website with a revised effective date. The policy in effect at the time of your service will generally apply to that service.
